DAY 3 - 26th Sept

Day 3 is recovery day. We don't know what time we got back to the Campervan after our big night, but i know the Wellington Cabbies won't forget us...the first cab we quizzed his sexual preferences, the second cab took us around the block and back to the same bar (we gave him 5 bucks for the effort) and Putcha got in an argument with the 3rd cabbie...luckily he got us back to the campervan.
After a good sleep (thanks to ear plugs...gods gift to fourloudcupsmen), we chose a game of golf for today's immunity challenge at Petone's Shandon Golf Club. The Nthn Hemisphere (Wayno and Tono) vs. The Sthn Hemisphere (Marko and Putcha).
After a first hole pull to the left, Tono got the Nthners off to a nice start. Marko cracked one down the middle, a lazy 270 metres off the tee, and we were off.
By the 4th hole, The Sthners were up by 4 and looking sweet.
On the 5th hole the Sthners collapsed. Marko smacked his in the water, and Putcha pulled a drive to the left...and lost the fucker. The Nthers had a sniff of victory, and immaturely gloated about a potential win...
Putcha and Marko took this sneer as motivation, and proceeded to carve out an inspired win by 7 shots...victory is not over rated, it's delicious and satisfying, but a humiliating loss for the Nthnrs hurts deeply and they will re-group and try and win Day 4's challenge.
As agreed by the Fourcupsmen prior to the challenge, a challenge's reward is for the losers to cook dinner of the winners choice.
Below, Wayno and Tono created a meal fit for a winner...as you can see, combining Grade 4.3 NZ beef, with Napier's finest mushrooms, onions grown in the fertile soil of Hastings, organic tomatoes grown in Tom O'Reilly's community garden, Bombay chilli beans caressed and nurtured to a satisfying plumpness, and local Wellington's Lucio Bamborelli's home made pasta, accompanied by Bill the Petone Baker's homemade sourdough bread with natural Olivetini spread....behold...Spag Bol!
